The Light We Share
Lighting candles has always held a special place in my heart. In my tradition and heritage, the simple act of lighting candles at the start of our holidays is more than a ritual—it’s a moment of reflection, connection, and meaning.
When you light a candle properly, it doesn’t diminish itself by sharing its flame. Instead, it ignites another candle, allowing it to grow from a tiny spark into its own blazing fire. That new flame can then pass light onto yet another candle, creating a chain reaction of warmth and brilliance.
This simple act of sharing light holds so much power. It’s not just about creating physical light—it’s about generating positive energy, fostering peace, and inspiring purpose. Lighting candles becomes a symbol of finding inner peace and spreading that peace outward, first within ourselves and then throughout our homes and communities.
I often think of therapy in the same way.
As a therapist, my role is to guide you out of darkness and help you rediscover your light. It’s about offering a safe, supportive space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and valued. Together, we work to uncover your strength, empowering you to shine brightly and, in turn, share your light with others.
Just as a single candle can illuminate the darkness, the therapy process can help you create a brighter, more joyful version of your life—one filled with hope, direction, and purpose. It’s about recognizing the power of your own light and how it can grow and expand, even in the face of challenges.
Whether it’s lighting candles or taking the first step toward healing, the magic is in the act of beginning. The flame you nurture within yourself has the potential to transform not only your life but the lives of those around you.
